Longniddry Villa FC is a community football club which has teams for almost every age group from tots to mens amateur. We currently run five 11 a-side football teams.
It is the only club in the County with an Under 13 team, an under 14 team, an Under 15 team, an under 16 and a mens amateur team. We therefore provide access to football to children from 4 to adult. We also have a link up with Preston Athletic FC allowing for a full pathway for players into senior football with a significant proportion of Preston Athletic’s playing squad, ex-villa players.
We as a club are proven winners with our two 2004 sides sharing 3 u18 cups and the under 18 league in the 2021/22 season..
Providing participation opportunities to so many young people across a wide range of ages has been possible due to good management, the right environment and encouragement. The club strives to be as inclusive as possible, priding itself on being a friendly, positive learning environment, providing good coaching and structured play to help to develop the individuals potential.
All age levels have qualified, experienced and vetted coaches with Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) certificates. The club works closely with the Scottish Youth Football Association and has teams playing small sided games in both the East Lothian Soccer Sevens Development Association and the East of Scotland Soccer Development Association along with 11 a-side teams in the South East Region Youth Football Association and the Lothian and Edinburgh Amateur FA. Longniddry Villa have been awarded the Quality Mark making it an accredited club.
The club has also recently taken on the management of the sports pavilion at Longniddry Park. In doing so it has strengthened our links with the local community, providing access to the sports pavilion to a variety of local groups including the Longniddry Gala Committee and Primary School.
Longniddry Villa is proud to have been awarded East Lothian Council’s SPORTS CLUB OF THE YEAR through their Sport Awards program.
Longniddry Villa FC have junior grassroots football teams which play in the South East Regional Youth Football Association, East of Scotland Soccer sevens Development (ESSDA) and East Lothian Football Development Association ELFDA) in Scotland.
